Happy Days Festival

Its a while since my last blog, this has mainly been due to how busy I have been.

Last weekend consisted of Saturday at the NY Bar in Cobham for the night I promote called Club 80 which is a night of original and remixed tracks you would have heard in a club in the eighties.

On the Sunday it was of to Club 1 in Ascot, where I was booked to DJ at the Polo seasons opening party. A great night with over 700 people and a booking for the Queens Cup After Party.

This weekend, I am taking my Club 80 set with graphics and dancers along to the Happy Days Festival in Esher. Over the 28th and 29th May I will be playing the best 70′s and 80′s dance music in the Disco Bar, while on the main stage Kool and the Gang, Billy Ocean, Tony Hadley, ABC, Nik Kershaw, Brand New Heavies, Aswad, Imagination, Heatwave,Odyssey and Rusty Egan will be playing.

Halloween

I have two great gigs for Halloween.

Friday 29th I am DJing with a Micheal Jackson impersonator at British Airways. All 300 tickets were sold a couple of weeks ago.

On Sat 30th it’s just me from 20.00 til 03.00 in one of the oldest pubs in the UK The Ostrich at Colnbrook. I will be playing the standard Halloween party numbers then moving onto a house set with spooky samples and using all four decks of Traktor. Also in use will be resolume as they have some wide screen TV’s, I have some great images for this.

50th Birthday Party

Played at a friends 50th on Saturday, started at 19.00 finished at 03.30 about 350 people came accross all ages, he specifically wanted me to keep his teenage children and their friends happy while putting in a 90′s and Jazz Funk set as well.

I had a 7000 watt sound system (crown amps and JBL MRX speakers) 10 DMX’d lights being run by Freestyler and a graphics show being projected onto the roof of the dance tent. Plus 5 lazer and tons of smoke for the 90′s set. Oh and a mirror ball for the 80′s.

Dave said it ticked all the boxes as well as keeping the 50 plus crowd on the floor he was told by one lad that “your 50th was better than my 18th”

Xmas preperation

All the nights have only just started to draw in, I have been actively working on my Xmas schedule.

New years eve has already been booked by Hush in Mayfair as a result of the succesful evening I had with them last year.

This Wednesday, I have a meeting with an entertainment agency who are looking to put me in 4 to 5 star hotels in the run up to Xmas.

My club work is also on the up, so things a looking good.

Different ends of the Spectrum

Things are picking up

I have been getting two to three enquiries a day at the moment which shows that my marketing plans are working.

Talking of work, last weekend I DJ’d after a 21 piece brass band last Saturday for a wedding of over 300 guests! This weekend, I have a wedding at Great Fosters on Saturday then a Party in Ascot till 12.00 then drive to Vanilla in Windsor where I am on from 01.30 till 03.00. So it is all go.
